What is Acupuncture
What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is the ancient Eastern art of providing therapy to individuals who have ailments. The treatment involves the insertion of very fine needles into the ‘channels’ which Eastern medicine believe flow around your body, and helping to establish a balance between the body’s Yin and Yang. The process is usually painless, although sometimes you may feel a slight numbness around the region being treated, and each needle treatment typically lasts around twenty minutes.
Acupuncture has been used for over 3000 years to treat a range of complaints and here at Acupuncture That Works we can offer acupuncture sessions to address the symptoms of many of these including:
Fertility and Infertility
Back Pain
Muscular Pain
Nausea & Vomiting
Dental pain
Tension Headaches
Osteoarthritis Knee Pain
Please note that much as Western medicine can make no guarantees about the outcomes of treatment, particularly Fertility treatment, nor would we wish to make unsubstantiated claims of efficacy. We will always recommend that you seek professional medical opinion before engaging in any course of treatment and we also recommend that acupuncture should be seen as part of an overall health and fitness programme, not necessarily an end in itself.
