AS – Northwich – Acupuncture for anxiety, stress and depression.

I contacted Emma to ask for her help at the start of 2014. I work in a high-pressure, demanding job and was already being treated by a counsellor to help resolve issues I had with anxiety, stress and mild depression. Physically, I was suffering from chronic tension-type headaches that persisted even though I had started to feel better emotionally. I had refused to use drugs to manage my symptoms, so was open to the possibility of accessing an alternative therapy to accompany the cognitive changes I was making with the counsellor’s guidance. It’s proven to be one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long while.

Emma’s approach is exactly what I’d been seeking; her compassion, empathy and knowledge immediately made me feel assured. As somebody who is often insistent about understanding how something works, she was more than happy to explain the theories and – importantly, the practical application – behind what she is attempting to achieve. The results have been exceptional, and I credit Emma unconditionally for that! She is able to transmit the faith she has in what she does to me with an ease that I still find a bit mind-blowing.

The headaches have all but cleared, and I am able to approach each day with so much more clarity and focus than I’d been able to previously. Acupuncture has been a complement to talking therapy for me, but an absolutely essential one in assisting me to make the positive progress I have craved following the most challenging time – personally and professionally – I’ve known in my lifetime.
