I began treatment with Emma after 2 and 1/2 years of unsuccessfully trying for a baby.
My husband and I were having lots of tests and it was a very stressful and emotionally draining time. I was diagnosed with a low egg count and husband with a low sperm count and were being referred for IVF.
I wanted help to feel less stressed and stop obsessing about becoming pregnant but also to try everything I could to get pregnant naturally before receiving medical intervention so I began treatment with Emma at the beginning of 2013.
Emma was professional, warm and caring, she took the time to listen and understand. She put me at ease straight away and gave me confidence that she could help me but never gave me any false promises.
After each session I felt incredibly relaxed, I felt less stressed and was sleeping better. Emma also gave me Moxa, a traditional Chinese medicine to use in between sessions on my myself and my husband.
By February my menstrual cycle, which had previously been very erratic and with very heavy painful periods, regulated and were no longer heavy or painful. As they were regular I could also predict when I may ovulate and so by the beginning of April I was pregnant!
I continued seeing Emma throughout my pregnancy, she helped with my morning sickness, swollen feet, tiredness and kept me relaxed throughout. If it were not for Emma I would not have my beautiful little boy.
Emma is nurturing and supportive but with a wealth of knowledge and expertise and I have no hesitation in recommending her as an acupuncturist.
